2012 CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Mardi Growl                                       March 3, 2012

Our second annual parade of dogs and their owners starts in front of the Locust Grove City Hall and travels south along Highway 42 to the Historic Downtown District, ending at Cleveland Street in our Trailhead Park.  Festivities of the day will include pet/owner costume contest, Frisbee dog demonstrations, food, pet vendors, music and more.  Parade starts at 10:00 AM with festivities through  2:00 PM.  Parade Application. Pictures with the Easter Bunny        March 31, 2012

 

Join us for pictures with the Easter Bunny in Historic Downtown Mayors’ Walk Park.  Bring you little ones for pictures with the Bunny.  You may purchase various photo packages so make sure you order enough to share.   Enjoy shopping in downtown for special Easter deals.  Event is from 10:00 AM until Noon.

 

Easter Egg Hunt and Parade             April 7, 2012

Annual Easter egg hunt for children ages 2 through 6th grade on the grounds of the Locust Grove City Hall complex.  Easter bonnet/hat contest for adults and children.  Tanger Outlet Center gift certificates will be awarded for the most colorful, largest, and unique bonnets/hats. Easter parade led by Mr. Easter Bunny himself. Then let the hunt begin for candy-filled eggs and special eggs for prizes. Event begins at 10:00 AM.

Locust Grove Day                               April 28, 2012

 

The annual Locust Grove Day event on April 28, 2012 is the celebration of all things ...in The Grove.  The parade begins at 10:00 AM at the Locust Grove Library and travels through Historic Downtown Locust Grove, ending at the City Hall complex where the festivities of the day will take place.  There grounds are filled with vendors selling arts and crafts, food, games, and entertainment throughout the day. At the main stage will be music a presenations throughout the day into the night where the Street Dance closes the day-long celebration.  The event is free to the public.  For more information, call 770-957-5043.  To participate in the parade please call 770-692-2323. To have a booth during the event, fill out APPLICATION and drop off at City Hall in the Administration/Business License office. For other vendor information, please call 770-957-6171.
