Locust Grove Police Department remains on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Our officers are highly visible throughout the community, on foot, on bike and in patrol cars, maintaining our low crime rate and safe environment. For emergencies, they can be contacted by dialing 911.  

For routine matters, the Police Department Office is located at 79 Francis Ward Drive and is opened from 8AM until 5PM, Monday through Friday.  The telephone number is 770-957-7055.

To help maintain our low crime rate, the Police Department  has developed the Community Oriented Policing Program.  The objective of this initiative is to be proactive in assisting both local merchants and private citizens develop programs and procedures to help reduce crime in our community.  Instruction and assistance are available on a number of topics such as crime prevention and reduction of shoplifting.  The Department also provides courtesy security inspections of both businesses and private residences.  If you are interested, please contact the Police Department Office to coordinate a date and time.

Our police officers can also be seen in our local schools providing instruction in topics such as proper use of seatbelts, gun safety, and actions around strangers.
